Pueblo Diversified Industries ( PDI ) is a unique Colorado Nonprofit Organization whose only mission is to support and improve the lives of adults with developmental disabilities.

The Staff Accountant has primary responsibility to support the Controller in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the PDI finance department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Process Accounts Payable
o Code all payables
o Seek proper authorizations
o Data input into software system
o Schedule payable for payment; cut checks or pay electronically
o Maintain electronic and paper filing
Provide accounting support for Accounts Receivable and Payroll
Review and update documentation and procedures
Manage petty cash account
Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verify information
Development and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommend changes
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed

You must be at least age 21 to be employed at PDI. You must also pass a pre-hire drug, MVR and background screen and possess a high school diploma or GED.
Required Education and Experience
Associate s degree in accounting from an accredited college and five years documented experience in an accounting office or department; or college or university accounting coursework and ten years documented experience in an accounting office or department. Solid background in Microsoft Windows-based information technology environment with highly developed skills in utilizing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Ability to learn and become proficient in other accounting and payroll systems utilized by PDI.
Bachelor s degree in accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.
